About the artists:
Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee are two kindred spirits who first met on the banks of the Mississippi while touring the Midwest festival circuit. Born and raised in Arkansas, Winter was drawn to the evergreens and music scene of Olympia, Washington, releasing three solo records on indie label K Records and performing in ramblin’ folk and anarchic punk bands. In 2013, she met Lee, who had built his first banjo at 19 and cut his teeth fronting Minneapolis string bands. He convinced Winter they should form a banjo duo. As The Lowest Pair, they’ve released five albums, toured North America and the UK, and played over 500 shows in the past five years.
